Kentucky High School Basketball - Lawrence County holds off Betsy Layne
January 16, 2023: Louisa, KY 41230 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY) and the visiting Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY), saw Lawrence County's basketball squad hold off Betsy Layne by a tally of 69-62.
With the victory, Lawrence County improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Boyd County (Ashland, KY) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Boyd County lost 67-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Betsy Layne will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 84-64 non-league win over East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY).
