The Foothill Knights basketball team (Santa Ana, CA), was nudged 53-50 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA)

The Matadores now possess a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Downey for a Gateway battle on Wednesday, January 18. La Mirada will battle a Vikings team coming off a 65-55 non-league win over West (Bakersfield, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 21-1.

The Knights (20-2) will now prepare for their battle against El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Golden Hawks come into the North Hills battle with a 13-9 record. In their last battle, El Dorado was nudged by Villa Park (Villa Park, CA), 71-66, in a non-league battle.
