New York High School Basketball - Niagara-Wheatfield winner over Hamburg
January 16, 2023: Sanborn, NY 14132 The Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons (Sanborn, NY) basketball felled the visiting Hamburg Bulldogs (Hamburg, NY), 46-34 in Monday's non-league test.
The Falcons (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Charter School for Applied Tech (Buffalo, NY). The Eagles go into the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Charter School for Applied Tech was beaten by North Tonawanda (North Tonawanda, NY), 52-42, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Williamsville East for a Section 6 Erie County II test on Tuesday, January 17. Hamburg will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 49-44 league loss to Iroquois (Elma, NY). The Flames record now stands at 4-5.
