New York High School Basketball - Niagara-Wheatfield edges Frontier
January 27, 2023: Sanborn, NY 14132 The Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons (Sanborn, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Frontier Falcons (Hamburg, NY), 50-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Falcons (10-5) will now prepare for their test against North Tonawanda (North Tonawanda, NY). The Lumberjacks go into the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, North Tonawanda got by Depew (Depew, NY), 46-43, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Jamestown for a Section 6 Erie County I test on Tuesday, January 31. Frontier will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 70-41 non-league win over The Park School of Buffalo (Buffalo, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 10-2.
