January 16, 2023: Mercer, PA 16137 In Monday's non-league outing, the Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA) basketball squad felled the host Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA), by a margin of 45-30.
The Eagles (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Saegertown (Saegertown, PA). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Saegertown was beaten by Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA), 51-24, in a league outing.
The Mustangs now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Slippery Rock for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17. Mercer will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 49-10 non-league loss to Karns City (Karns City, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 1-11.
