Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), 48-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Prairie Central upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL) to play the Rockets in a Illini Prairie bout on Thursday, January 19. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 16-7. Tolono Unity lost 64-47 in their recent league bout against Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL)

Next up, the Sages play the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Thursday, January 19. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 8-13 record after their 58-41 league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL).
