Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) and the host Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), saw St. Thomas More's basketball squad wallop Monticello by a tally of 58-33.

With the victory, St. Thomas More improves its record to 22-5 on the campaign. The Sabers host Pontiac (Pontiac, IL) to confront the Indians in a Illini Prairie challenge on Monday, February 6. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 10-15. Pontiac won 55-32 in their recent league challenge against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL)

Next up, the Sages confront the Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL) in a Illini Prairie challenge, on Monday, February 6. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 7-20 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 47-46 league win over St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL).
