The Rio Vista Eagles basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Frost Polar Bears to 66 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Itasca for a 2A Region II District 12 contest on Friday, January 19. Rio Vista will meet a Wampus Cats team coming off a 53-48 league win over Italy (Italy, TX). The Wampus Cats record now stands at 17-5.

The Polar Bears (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Hamilton, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 2A Region II District 12 contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Hamilton ran past Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX), 53-40, in a league contest.
