Alabama High School Basketball - Springwood nudges Glenwood
January 16, 2024: Phenix City, AL 36868 Springwood Wildcats (Lanett, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Glenwood Gators (Phenix City, AL), 87-84 in a league bout.
With the win, Springwood upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Lee-Scott Academy (Auburn, AL) to clash with the Warriors in a AISA AAA Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 18. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 19-2. Lee-Scott Academy won 55-48 in their recent league bout against Macon-East Montgomery Academy (Cecil, AL)
Next up, the Gators clash with the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights (Cecil, AL) in a AISA AAA Region 1 bout, on Thursday, January 18. Glenwood will attempt to upgrade on its 18-7 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 55-48 league loss to Lee-Scott Academy (Auburn, AL).
