Illinois High School Basketball - Havana knocked off by Illini Central
January 16, 2024: Mason City, IL 62664 The Illini Central Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Havana Ducks to 43 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cornerstone Christian for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 17. Illini Central will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 67-49 non-league loss to Beardstown (Beardstown, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 2-12.
The Ducks (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL). The Spartans enter the Prairieland contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Bushnell-Prairie City was defeated by Farmington (Farmington, IL), 63-40, in a league contest.
