Georgia High School Basketball - Houston County knocked off by Lee County
January 16, 2024: Leesburg, GA 31763 The Lee County Trojans basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Houston County Bears to 49 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a AAAAAA Region 1 contest on Friday, January 19. Lee County will meet a Eagles team coming off a 92-78 non-league loss to Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-12.
The Bears (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Tift County (Tifton, GA). The Blue Devils enter the AAAAAA Region 1 contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Tift County ran past Cook (Adel, GA), 54-41, in a non-league contest.
