South Dakota High School Basketball - Elkton/Lake Benton can't hold off Canton
January 16, 2024: Elkton, SD 57026 The Canton C-Hawks basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Elkton/Lake Benton Elks to 42 in the C-Hawks non-league victory on Tuesday.
The C-Hawks now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parker for a A Region 4 contest on Thursday, January 18. Canton will battle a Pheasants team coming off a 78-23 league loss to Lennox (Lennox, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 0-7.
The Elks (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Colman-Egan (Colman, SD). The C-E Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Colman-Egan edged Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD), 61-31, in a non-league contest.
