Texas High School Basketball - Richland tops Denton
January 16, 2024: North Richland Hills, TX 76180 Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Denton Broncos (Denton, TX), 41-33 in a league bout.
With the victory, Richland upgrades its record to 9-17 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Argyle (Argyle, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region I District 7 bout on Friday, January 19. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 26-3. Argyle won 34-9 in their recent league bout against Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX)
Next up, the Broncos play the Colleyville Heritage Panthers (Colleyville, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 bout, on Friday, January 19. Denton will attempt to upgrade on its 10-15 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 42-29 league win over Grapevine (Grapevine, TX).
