Dixie Greyhounds (New Lebanon, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Newton Local Indians (Pleasant Hill, OH), 46-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dixie upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Middletown Christian (Franklin, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Middletown Christian won 46-33 in their recent non-league bout against Gamble Montessori (Cincinnati, OH)

Next up, the Indians play the Franklin Monroe Jets (Pitsburg, OH) in a Western Ohio bout, on Thursday, January 18. Newton Local will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Jets come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 46-33 league loss to Tri-County North (Lewisburg, OH).
