The Hanks Knights basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Parkland Matadors to 23 in the Knights league victory on Tuesday.

The Knights now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ysleta for a 5A Region I District 2 contest on Friday, January 19. Hanks will battle a Indians team coming off a 47-28 league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Indians record now stands at 9-16.

The Matadors (3-18) will now prepare for their contest against Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions come into the 5A Region I District 2 contest with a 4-18 record. In their last contest, Horizon was routed by Bel Air (El Paso, TX), 50-23, in a league contest.
