The Lower Richland Diamond Hornets basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Swansea Tigers to 14 in the Diamond Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Diamond Hornets now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orangeburg-Wilkinson for a AAA Region 5 contest on Friday, January 19. Lower Richland will meet a Bruins team coming off a 65-28 league win over Dreher (Columbia, SC). The Bruins record now stands at 15-2.

The Tigers (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC). The Bearcats enter the AAA Region 5 contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Brookland-Cayce was routed by Gilbert (Gilbert, SC), 65-23, in a league contest.
