North Carolina High School Basketball - Triton can't hold off Overhills

January 16, 2024: Spring Lake, NC 28390

The Overhills Jaguars basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Triton Hawks to 42 in the Jaguars league victory on Tuesday.

The Jaguars now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harnett Central for a 3A/4A All-American contest on Wednesday, January 17. Overhills will battle a Trojans team coming off a 39-20 league loss to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-7.

The Hawks (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans come into the 3A/4A All-American contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Harnett Central was nudged by Overhills (Spring Lake, NC), 61-21, in a league contest.
