Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), 53-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ashbrook upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Greenwave host Shelby (Shelby, NC) to play the Golden Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Golden Lions come into the bout with a record of 4-2.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. North Gaston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
