Ohio High School Basketball - Licking Valley nips Zanesville
January 16, 2024: Newark, OH 43055 Licking Valley Panthers (Newark, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Zanesville Blue Devils (Zanesville, OH), 44-41 in a league bout.
With the victory, Licking Valley upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Horizon Science Academy (Columbus, OH) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 10-5. Horizon Science Academy won 44-36 in their recent non-league bout against Grove City Christian (Grove City, OH)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Granville Blue Aces (Granville, OH) in a bout, on Friday, January 19. Zanesville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Blue Aces come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 52-38 non-league loss to Licking Valley (Newark, OH).
