The Tonkawa Buccaneers basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Blackwell Maroons to 47 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now have a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Woodland for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Tonkawa will confront a Cougars team coming off a 62-36 non-league win over Newkirk (Newkirk, OK). The Cougars record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Blackwell falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Maroons host Chisholm (Enid, OK) to confront the Longhorns in a 89er - West game on Tuesday, January 21. The Longhorns go into the game with a record of 7-7. Chisholm lost 70-62 in their recent league game against Alva (Alva, OK)
