In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Hyannis Longhorns basketball team scored a close 71-65 triumph over the Twin Loup Wolves.

The Longhorns (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Sandhills Valley (Stapleton, NE). The Mavericks go into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Sandhills Valley nipped Cody-Kilgore (Cody, NE), 53-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wolves confront the North Central Knights (Bassett, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Twin Loup will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record.
