Virginia High School Basketball - John Battle can't hold off Lebanon
January 16, 2025: Bristol, VA 24202 Lebanon Pioneers (Lebanon, VA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA), 54-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lebanon advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Pioneers host Marion (Marion, VA) to face the Scarlet Hurricanes in a non-league match on Friday, January 17. The Scarlet Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 5-6. Marion lost 69-40 in their recent league match against Graham (Bluefield, VA)
The Trojans now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridgeview for a Mountain match on Monday, January 20. John Battle will face a Wolfpack squad coming off a 54-47 league win over Abingdon (Abingdon, VA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 4-4.
