In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Poinciana Eagles basketball team scored a good 56-47 win over the Liberty Chargers.

The Eagles (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Celebration (Celebration, FL). The Storm come into the 7A District 9 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Celebration was topped by Tohopekaliga (Kissimmee, FL), 50-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the North Kissimmee Christian Lions (Kissimmee, FL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Liberty will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record.
