January 16, 2025: Three Lakes, WI 54562 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Three Lakes Bluejays (Three Lakes, WI) and the visiting Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI), observed Three Lakes's basketball team overcome Mellen by a margin of 54-45.
The Bluejays (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Elcho (Elcho, WI). The Hornets come into the Northern Lakes challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Elcho dropped by Tigerton (Tigerton, WI), 82-31, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Granite Diggers battle the Solon Springs Eagles (Solon Springs, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Monday, January 20. Mellen will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 56-23 league win over Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI).
