Michigan High School Basketball - Mt. Morris thwarts New Lothrop
January 16, 2025: Mt. Morris, MI 48458 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mt. Morris Panthers (Mt. Morris, MI) and the visiting New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI), observed Mt. Morris's basketball team knock off New Lothrop by a score of 44-27.
The Panthers (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI). The Marauders come into the Mid-Michigan challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Ovid-Elsie prevailed over Byron (Byron, MI), 83-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Durand Railroaders (Durand, MI) in a Mid-Michigan challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. New Lothrop will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 63-42 non-league win over Owosso (Owosso, MI).
