January 16, 2025: Jonesboro, LA 71251 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Quitman Wolverines (Quitman, LA) and the host Weston Wolves (Jonesboro, LA), observed Quitman's basketball team overwhelm Weston by a score of 83-39.
The Wolverines (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Doyline (Doyline, LA). The Panthers come into the B District 1 challenge with a 17-3 record. In their last challenge, Doyline was routed by Simsboro (Simsboro, LA), 71-56, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolves battle the Castor Tigers (Castor, LA) in a B District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Weston will attempt to improve on its 7-16 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 67-51 non-league win over Claiborne Christian (West Monroe, LA).
