Illinois High School Basketball - Carlinville overwhelms Litchfield
January 16, 2025: Carlinville, IL 62626 The Carlinville Cavaliers basketball team scored 65 points and limited the visiting Litchfield Purple Panthers to 29 in the Cavaliers league triumph on Thursday.
The Cavaliers now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lincolnwood for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Carlinville will play a Lancers team coming off a 51-20 non-league win over Madison (Madison, IL). The Lancers record now stands at 4-16.
With the loss, Litchfield falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Purple panthers travel to Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL) to play the Griffins in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Griffins go into the game with a record of 12-8. Father McGivney Catholic won 45-31 in their recent non-league game against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL)
