Illinois High School Basketball - Litchfield thwarts Vandalia
February 10, 2025: Litchfield, IL 62056 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) and the visiting Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), observed Litchfield's basketball team knock off Vandalia by a score of 55-37.
The Purple Panthers (12-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Piasa Birds come into the South Central challenge with a 8-20 record. In their last challenge, Southwestern was knocked off by Staunton (Staunton, IL), 44-22, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Vandals encounter the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Wednesday, February 12. Vandalia will attempt to improve on its 15-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 24-5 record after their 53-32 league win over North Mac (Virden, IL).
