The Oakridge Owls basketball team scored 31 points and limited the host Covenant Classical Cavaliers to 23 in the Owls non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Owls now have a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity Valley for a Southwest Prep - North game on Friday, January 17. Oakridge will confront a Trojans team coming off a 42-28 league loss to St. Andrew's (Austin, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Covenant Classical falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Fellowship Academy (Kennedale, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a TAPPS 3A District 1 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 18-2.
