Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Weld Central Rebels (Keenesburg, CO), 40-38 in a league match.

With the victory, Sterling advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Tigers host Eaton (Eaton, CO) to meet the Reds in a 4A Patriot match on Tuesday, January 21. The Reds enter the match with a record of 7-4. Eaton won 53-40 in their recent non-league match against Yuma (Yuma, CO)
