Louisiana High School Soccer - Westgate toppled by New Iberia
January 16, 2025: New Iberia, LA 70560 New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), 8-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, New Iberia advances its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Comeaux (Lafayette, LA) to clash with the Spartans in a Division II District 4 test on Friday, January 17. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 3-9. Comeaux won 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA)
The Tigers now have a 1-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Thomas More for a Division II District 4 test on Monday, January 20.
