Louisiana High School Soccer - New Iberia knocks off Comeaux
January 17, 2025: New Iberia, LA 70560 Fans at Friday's league battle between the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) and the visiting Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), saw New Iberia's soccer squad triumph over Comeaux by a count of 8-0.
The Yellowjackets (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Crusaders enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Westminster Academy notched a victory over Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Spartans battle the Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA) in a Division II District 4 battle, on Tuesday, January 21. Comeaux will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 1-12 record after their 8-0 league loss to New Iberia (New Iberia, LA).
