The Powder Valley Badgers basketball squad (North Powder, OR), was nudged 48-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Union Bobcats (Union, OR)

With the victory, Union advances its record to 16-1 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Joseph (Joseph, OR) to meet the Eagles in a 1A Old Oregon battle on Thursday, January 22. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 12-2. Joseph won 54-13 in their recent league battle against Wallowa (Wallowa, OR)

The Badgers now own a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Eagle for a 1A Old Oregon challenge on Saturday, January 17. Powder Valley will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 54-45 non-league loss to Harper (Harper, OR). The Spartans record now stands at 2-9.
