In Friday's non-league test, the Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE), by a score of 49-35.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats (Exeter, NE) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 20. Sutton will attempt to advance on its 9-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 11-2 record after their 59-52 non-league loss to Johnson-Brock (Johnson, NE).

The Titans now own a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sandy Creek for a C2 District 2 battle on Tuesday, January 20. Thayer Central will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 77-46 league win over Superior (Superior, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 10-4.
