The Ashford Yellowjackets basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Northside Methodist Academy Knights to 59 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston Academy for a 3A Area 3 contest on Friday, January 20. Ashford will battle a Raiders team coming off a 70-56 league win over Providence Christian (Dothan, AL). The Raiders record now stands at 21-2.

The Knights (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ariton (Ariton, AL). The Purple Cats enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Ariton was routed by Abbeville (Abbeville, AL), 66-54, in a league contest.
