New Jersey High School Basketball - Mainland Regional overwhelms Buena
January 17, 2023: Linwood, NJ 08221 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mainland Regional Mustangs (Linwood, NJ) and the visiting Buena Chiefs (Buena, NJ), saw Mainland Regional's basketball squad wallop Buena by a tally of 59-17.
With the victory, Mainland Regional improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Absegami (Galloway, NJ) to confront the Braves in a Cape/Atlantic - National challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Absegami won 59-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Cape May County Tech (Cape May Court House, NJ)
Next up, the Chiefs confront the Oakcrest Falcons (Mays Landing, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Buena will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 82-47 league loss to Lower Cape May (Cape May, NJ).
