Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots (Mayville, ND) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Carrington Cardinals (Carrington, ND), 65-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND) to play the H-CV Burros in a B Region 2 bout on Thursday, January 19. The H-CV Burros go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Hillsboro/Central Valley won 60-56 in their recent league bout against Grafton (Grafton, ND)
