January 17, 2023: Columbia, SC 29210 The Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC) basketball crushed the visiting Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC), 77-44 in Tuesday's league test.
The Capitals (13-6) will now prepare for their test against Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Griffins go into the AA Region 4 test with a 1-16 record. In their last test, Fairfield Central was trounced by Newberry (Newberry, SC), 68-52, in a non-league test.
The Griffins now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they host Newberry for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 18. Fairfield Central will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 62-52 league win over Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-4.
