Massachusetts High School Basketball - Westford Academy nips Leominster
January 17, 2023: Leominster, MA 01453 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) and the host Leominster Blue Devils (Leominster, MA), saw Westford Academy's basketball squad hold off Leominster by a count of 63-59.
With the victory, Westford Academy upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Grey Ghosts host Newton South (Newton, MA) to play the Lions in a Dual County - Large challenge on Friday, January 20. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Shrewsbury Colonials (Shrewsbury, MA) in a Midland-Wachusett A challenge, on Friday, January 20. Leominster will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Colonials come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 63-57 league loss to Algonquin Regional (Northborough, MA).
