Texas High School Basketball - Trinity nudges Weatherford Christian
January 17, 2023: Midland, TX 79707 Trinity Chargers (Midland, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Weatherford Christian Lions (Weatherford, TX), 54-47 in a league bout.
With the win, Trinity upgrades its record to 6-19 on the season. The Chargers travel to Calvary Academy (Denton, TX) to clash with the Lions in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Calvary Academy lost 52-41 in their recent league bout against Trinity (Midland, TX)
Next up, the Lions clash with the Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Weatherford Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 22-2 record after their 70-22 league win over Fellowship Academy (Kennedale, TX).
