New York High School Basketball - Columbia succumbs to Averill Park
January 17, 2023: East Greenbush, NY 12061 The Averill Park Warriors topped the host Columbia Blue Devils basketball team by a final score of 57-38 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Warriors face the Tappan Zee Dutchmen (Orangeburg, NY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 21. Averill Park will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Dutchmen enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 63-36 non-league loss to Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, DE).
With the defeat, Columbia moves to 3-10 on the year. The Blue devils travel to Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY) to face the Plainsmen in a Section 2 Suburban game on Friday, January 20. The Plainsmen go into the test with a record of 10-1. Shenendehowa won 74-32 in their recent league test against Shaker (Latham, NY)
