Iowa High School Basketball - Monticello tops Bellevue
January 17, 2023: Bellevue, IA 52031 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) and the host Bellevue Comets (Bellevue, IA), saw Monticello's basketball squad knock off Bellevue by a count of 48-36.
With the victory, Monticello upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Anamosa (Anamosa, IA) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 0-11. Anamosa lost 81-36 in their recent league challenge against Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA)
Next up, the Comets play the Camanche Indians (Camanche, IA) in a Freelance challenge, on Friday, January 20. Bellevue will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 47-9 non-league loss to Beckman (Dyersville, IA).
