Iowa High School Basketball - Monticello nips Beckman
January 24, 2023: Dyersville, IA 52040 Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Beckman Trailblazers (Dyersville, IA), 48-47 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Monticello upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cascade (Cascade, IA) to play the Cougars in a Freelance bout on Friday, January 27. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 12-2. Cascade won 52-23 in their recent league game against Camanche (Camanche, IA)
With the defeat, Beckman moves to 8-7 on the year. The Trailblazers travel to Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA) to face the Cardinals in a WAMAC - East game on Friday, January 27. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 10-7. Maquoketa won 54-45 in their recent non-league game against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA)
