Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks (Dawson, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Canby Lancers (Canby, MN), 48-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Dawson-Boyd upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Blackjacks travel to Lakeview (Cottonwood, MN) to clash with the Lakers in a A Section 3 bout on Friday, January 20. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Lakeview lost 51-31 in their recent non-league bout against Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN)

Next up, the Lancers clash with the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints (Kerkhoven, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Canby will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Fighting Saints go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 68-48 non-league win over Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN).
