Washington High School Basketball - Deer Park overwhelms Newport
January 17, 2023: Newport, WA 99156 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Deer Park Stags (Deer Park, WA) and the host Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), saw Deer Park's basketball squad wallop Newport by a tally of 81-29.
With the victory, Deer Park improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Stags host Freeman (Rockford, WA) to confront the Scotties in a 1A Northeast challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Scotties come into the challenge with a record of 12-2.
Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Medical Lake Cardinals (Medical Lake, WA) in a 1A Northeast challenge, on Friday, January 20. Newport will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 67-40 league loss to Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA).
