Michigan High School Basketball - Ionia knocked off by St. Johns
January 17, 2023: St. Johns, MI 48879 The St. Johns Redwings basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Ionia Bulldogs to 42 in the Redwings non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Redwings now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fowlerville for a Capital Area - Red contest on Friday, January 20. St. Johns will meet a Gladiators team coming off a 45-27 league loss to Williamston (Williamston, MI). The Gladiators record now stands at 2-10.
The Bulldogs (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sexton (Lansing, MI). The Big Reds enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Sexton ran past Everett (Lansing, MI), 39-29, in a non-league contest.
