Michigan High School Basketball - Ionia tops Eastern
February 7, 2023: Ionia, MI 48846 Ionia Bulldogs (Ionia, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Eastern Quakers (Lansing, MI), 61-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Ionia upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Portland (Portland, MI) to play the Raiders in a Capital Area - White bout on Friday, February 10. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Portland won 47-24 in their recent non-league bout against Laingsburg (Laingsburg, MI)
Next up, the Quakers play the St. Johns Redwings (St. Johns, MI) in a Capital Area - Red bout, on Thursday, February 9. Eastern will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Redwings come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 44-38 league loss to Mason (Mason, MI).
