Maryland High School Basketball - Wootton trounces Kennedy
January 17, 2023: Rockville, MD 20850 The Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD) basketball crushed the visiting Kennedy Cavaliers (Silver Spring, MD), 68-18 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Patriots (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Northwood (Silver Spring, MD). The Gladiators go into the Montgomery County - 4A East test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Northwood was trounced by Blake (Silver Spring, MD), 34-30, in a league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Seneca Valley for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Kennedy will encounter a Screamin' Eagles squad coming off a 90-12 non-league win over Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD). The Screamin' Eagles record now stands at 11-3.
