Maryland High School Basketball - Westminster edges Linganore
January 17, 2023: Frederick, MD 21701 Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD), 47-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Westminster upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Owls host South Carroll (Sykesville, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a Carroll County bout on Friday, January 20. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 4-6. South Carroll lost 41-28 in their recent league bout against Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD)
Next up, the Lancers play the North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD) in a Central Maryland bout, on Friday, January 20. Linganore will attempt to upgrade on its 12-1 season record. The Hubs go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 50-31 league win over Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD).
