January 17, 2023: Swoope, VA 24479 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) and the host Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA), saw Stuarts Draft's basketball squad wallop Buffalo Gap by a tally of 41-12.
With the victory, Stuarts Draft improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Fort Defiance lost 33-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA)
Next up, the Bison play the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Buffalo Gap will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Gobblers come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 30-26 non-league loss to Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA).
